How to choose shoes by use

You will find NORDBLANC shoes in four groups: lightweight textile sports shoes, leather outdoor boots for hiking, leather sneakers and sandals. Choose by where you will be walking - in the city, on hiking trails, or in sandals in summer.

For sport, the city and every day

Sports shoes have an upper made of stretchy textile (polyester) and a foam sole made of phylon, which absorbs impact. They are light, some models are ankle-height and others have a heel loop for easy pull-on. They suit training as well as all-day wear.

Most sports models are unisex, so you will find them in both the women’s and the men’s range. Sizes run from 36 to 46.

For hikes and rough terrain

For hiking there are leather outdoor boots with a nubuck upper, a rubber TERAGRIP outsole and a phylon midsole. You can choose women’s and men’s models, low and high.

For these boots, the parameters list the “Waterproof material” feature and the “Water-resistant”, “Breathable”, “Anti-slip” and “Stable” properties. We do not state a numerical water-resistance value; sports shoes, sandals and leather sneakers carry no waterproofing information.

For the city: leather sneakers

The leather ankle sneakers are made of genuine leather with a soft rubber sole and a padded collar at the ankle. They are minimalist, designed for everyday wear and suit the city with ordinary clothes.

For summer: sandals

The women’s strappy sandals are made of textile with a rubber outsole and hook-and-loop fasteners on the instep and heel. The men’s sandals are made of genuine leather and fasten with hook-and-loop straps at the heel, the instep and across the toes. You adjust the fasteners to your foot, so the sandals suit summer and all-day wear.

How to read the information on shoes

Upper material - sports shoes and women’s sandals are made of textile (100% polyester), outdoor boots of nubuck (leather), leather sneakers and men’s sandals of genuine leather. Textile is lighter and more flexible, leather sturdier.
Sole - sports shoes have a foam sole made of phylon; outdoor boots, leather sneakers and sandals have a rubber outsole. On outdoor boots it is the TERAGRIP outsole with a phylon midsole.
Shoe height - a low shoe is lighter and looser, an ankle-height or high shoe holds the ankle better. Ankle-height are some sports models, the leather sneakers and the higher outdoor boots.
Size - the range is 36-46, but each model comes in only part of it (for example 36-41, 37-42 or 40-46). Check which sizes are available for the model.

How to care for shoes

Dry leather shoes at room temperature after they get wet, away from radiators and stoves, so the leather does not dry out and crack. Clean them regularly and treat them with a product for the type of leather - nubuck needs a different one from smooth leather. Clean textile sports shoes with a damp cloth and mild soap and do not dry them on a heater. Do not machine-wash shoes unless the manufacturer’s instructions allow it.
