What you'll find in this category

Bikini - NORDBLANC women’s bikinis - bikini tops and bikini bottoms that you buy separately and mix and match. Most tops have removable padding, and both pieces mostly come in the same colour palette.

How to choose women’s swimwear

NORDBLANC women’s swimwear is two-piece. The bikini top and the bikini bottoms are sold as separate items, so you can choose each piece in the size that fits you and put together the style and colour you like. Both pieces are made of a stretchy, quick-drying fabric.

Bikini top

With a top, size and support are what count. Most NORDBLANC bikini tops have removable padding: with it, the top holds its shape better; without it, it is lighter and softer. Choose the size of the top by your bust and underbust measurements, independently of the bottoms. Measure your bust around the fullest part of your chest and your underbust just below it; keep the tape measure level and don’t pull it tight.

Bikini bottoms

Choose the bottoms by your hip measurement, taken standing up around the fullest part of your bottom. Because the pieces are sold separately, you don’t have to compromise on size - if your top and bottom sizes differ, you simply buy each piece in its own size.

Colours and combinations

Most tops and bottoms come in the same colour palette - from black and red through blue, turquoise and purple to pink and bright yellow. So you can put together a single-colour set or combine the two pieces in contrasting colours. And when one piece wears out, you only need to replace that one.

How swimwear should fit

Top - it should stay firmly in place even when swimming and not dig in anywhere. If it gapes or shifts, try a smaller size.
Bottoms - they should fit snugly all the way round and not slip down, but not dig into your hips and thighs either.
Movement test - when trying swimwear on, raise your arms above your head, bend forward and do a squat. The top should stay in place and the bottoms mustn’t slip down.
Stretch - swimwear is made of a stretchy fabric, so it should fit snugly. Loose swimwear shifts when you swim and fills with water.
Size chart - for most models, the product page has a diagram with the measurements of the piece; sizes range from 34 to 44.

For the water, the beach and the pool

The bikinis are made for swimming and bathing - in the sea, the pool or the lake. The quick-drying fabric dries soon after a swim. On the beach or on the way back from the water, pull beach shorts or a light summer dress over your swimwear - you’ll find them among NORDBLANC women’s shorts and dresses.

For a holiday, it’s worth having two tops or two pairs of bottoms to alternate: while one set dries, you can wear the other. Thanks to the shared colour palette, the pieces are easy to match.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a bikini top and bottoms in different sizes?

Yes. NORDBLANC women’s swimwear is sold as separates - the bikini top and bikini bottoms are separate products, so you can choose each piece in the size that fits you. This is especially handy for women whose top and bottom sizes differ. Most tops and bottoms also come in the same colour palette, so you can easily put together a matching set.

Do NORDBLANC bikini tops have removable padding?

Most do. You can take the padding out of the top: with it, the top holds its shape better; without it, it’s lighter and softer. Whether a particular model has it is stated in the description on the product page.

How do I measure myself for women’s swimwear?

Choose each piece separately: the top by your bust and underbust measurements, the bottoms by your hip measurement. Sizes are numerical, from 34 to 44, and for most models a chart with a diagram on the product page shows the measurements of each piece. Swimwear should fit snugly without digging in anywhere - loose swimwear shifts in the water.

How should I care for women’s swimwear after swimming in the sea or a pool?

After every swim, rinse your swimwear in clean lukewarm water, because chlorine and sea salt damage the fabric. Wash it by hand or on a gentle cycle without fabric softener, don’t wring it out, and dry it laid flat in the shade, not on a radiator or in a tumble dryer. Let sunscreen soak in before you put your swimwear on, as it could leave marks on the fabric.
