DERMIZAX ®
Dermizax™ is the original Japanese waterproof and breathable fabric technology from Toray and uses decades of experience to manage every part of the construction process. Dermizax™ is a fabric with a highly sophisticated and technical membrane that achieves the highest level of waterproofness, breathability and resistance to condensation. The fabric is stretchable, adaptable and flexible. This makes it ideal for sporting activities that take place in extreme environmental conditions, such as mountain climbing, trail running and winter sports. Whatever sport you choose, Dermizax™ can adapt and protect you from the worst that nature can throw at it while you remain comfortable and in control.

DRYFOR®
A functional fiber that excellently absorbs body moisture and wicks away sweat. Thanks to the micro-grooves on its surface, moisture is efficiently carried to the outer side of the fabric where it evaporates quickly, keeping your skin dry and comfortable. This property allows the material to provide perfect body temperature regulation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put together a women’s ski outfit from a jacket and trousers?
Choose a jacket and trousers with a similar water column and the same warmth, so the whole outfit protects evenly. NORDBLANC women’s ski clothing has separate jackets and trousers, so you can build the outfit as you like and also wear each piece on its own. Most trousers have a TERATEX® 20000 ELP membrane (20,000 mm), which goes with jackets of the same value; for snowfall and full days out, reach for a jacket and trousers with a DERMIZAX™ membrane (30,000 mm).
Are NORDBLANC women’s ski jackets and trousers waterproof?
Yes. All women’s ski jackets and trousers have a membrane with a water column of 10,000–30,000 mm, and on the NORDBLANC waterproofness scale they are rated Waterproof or Highly waterproof. Half of the models have 20,000 mm, and a fifth each have 15,000 mm and 30,000 mm. Most jackets and trousers also have taped seams and waterproof zips. The powerfleece jackets in this category are not waterproof; they go under the jacket.
Can women’s ski clothing also be used for snowboarding?
Yes, some NORDBLANC women’s ski clothing is also made for snowboarding: 13 models list snowboarding as an activity, including snowboard anoraks and jackets labelled ski and snowboard. On a board you sit and fall in the snow a lot, so look at the water column of the trousers and choose at least 20,000 mm. Anoraks pull on over the head and mostly fit more loosely.
What features do women’s ski jackets and trousers have?
All women’s ski jackets have a snow skirt, which keeps out draughts and snow, and almost all have an adjustable hood. Most jackets also have a detachable hood, a ski pass pocket on the sleeve, ventilation zips and a goggle pocket. On trousers, a zip in the bottom hem and inner snow gaiters with anti-slip grip, which pull over the ski boot, are important; most trousers have them, and more than half have detachable braces.
