NORDBLANC is a brand of sports and outdoor clothing, footwear and accessories for women, men and children. It originated on the Czech market in 2003, so it has been on the market for more than 20 years. Today you can find it in 14 brand stores in Czechia and Slovakia, as well as in the nordblanc.com online store.

Since 2003

The NORDBLANC brand originated on the Czech market in 2003. On 10 July 2003, the NORDBLANC word mark was filed in the Czech Republic (registration number CZ 193745), which you can check in the trademark database. In its 2008 description, the brand stated a specialisation in ski and snowboard clothing.

Its own style from the start

NORDBLANC collections have been designed by the same person from the start. That is why they have a coherent and distinctive style that is recognisable across the years. The brand places emphasis on the quality of workmanship and on every product having a clear use – for the mountains, for sport and for the city.

Tested in real-world conditions

The brand tests NORDBLANC clothing itself in real-world conditions – in the mountains, on skis and during other sports – and in this way checks its functionality and quality in practice.

Brand stores

According to the brand, NORDBLANC has been building its own network of brand stores since 2007. Today there are 14: 13 in the Czech Republic and one in Trenčín, Slovakia, which has been operating since 7 April 2009. In the stores you can look at the clothing and try it on. The brand’s own TERATEX® materials

For clothing with a membrane, NORDBLANC uses its own branded line of TERATEX® membrane materials. The TERATEX trademark was filed in the Czech Republic in 2005 (CZ 423070), and the line appears on the brand’s website as early as 2006.

For most models, the number in the name corresponds to the declared water column in millimetres. The line includes the variants TERATEX® 5000, 8000, 10000, 15000, 20000 and 30000. The water column indicates how tall a column of water the material withstands in a laboratory test before it starts to let water through – the higher the number, the more. For products that state this value, you can find it in the product details.

Other material brands include SOFTSHIELD® (softshell) and TECNOPOLAR® (fleece). The winter collection also features materials from suppliers, for example DERMIZAX™ (a brand of the company Toray) and THERMOLITE® (a brand of The LYCRA Company).
